Got this for my 6 year old, as every other parent in my child's school appears to have got their kid one. Therefore I felt pressured, as kid has went on about it for a while now. As a game player in the past I felt 6 years old is a wee bit young, as there is a difference between a kid playing with a game and playing a game. Since gettign the console I feel I have been proven correct. The console is great, however my kid has lost interest within the first 2 weeks, unless you are prepared to buy a game every 3 days, which I am not. Will be great, as she gets older, but definitely not for a 6 or less years old kid. But to re-iterate the console itsef as an excellent piece of software and nintendo should be congratulated for this innovative machine and once my kid is old enough I am sure she will have hours of enjoyment out of it. that is unless they have superceded the console by then and I have to spend more money, as these same parents will have got their kids the latest console, as these balloons always do.Read full review
Bit weary of getting a reconditioned DS. Bought as a birthday present, the brand new ones were way too expensive. It has proved to be a big hit and unless you know its second hand, you could never tell. All works fine and has provided hours of fun so far. Would certainly get another from the seller if I needed, pen and charger included.

I had to buy another after my son accidently drowned his first one! He loves his DSI it can connect to the internet for free games and fun with nintendo, he also has lots of games like pokemon/lego batman that he enjoys. It is something nice to look forward to after a long hard day at school! My son has dyspraxia so I had been reccommended he uses a DSI to improve his hand/eye co-ordination, which it has done, immensly. He now has better than average hand/eye co-ordination. The camera is great fun, even I enjoy distorting the pictures! A fantastic buy, hevens forbid this one should get damaged, hopefully NOT! I would buy another, they're brilliant. Don't forget parents, you also have a bargaining tool! The kids will behave better as they know if they're good, they have a fun reward at the end :)Read full review
