The chairs don't fold quite flat, so take up a bit more space than expected, but I got what I needed – cheap furniture that can be left out in the rain but can be folded away to allow the space to be used for leisure rather than work. I chose this set because the chairs looked more comfortable than many and they are indeed okay for a few hours of work
