Stereo redundant 😢
Hi the amazon echo plus is fantastic we luv it I’ve just recently became an amazon gadget freak lol I’ve got a dot,a spot an echo 2nd gen, and now I’ve just purchased The 2 echo plus and sub woofer for the stereo pairing. This is like a hobby that will last for years, whilst you modify your home to suit it.
I was inquisitive about the new internet of things and smart equipment. The "Alexa" app is a step in that direction. It has a lot of potential for the future, but as yet there are too many things like light switches that need replacing for it to be a convenient system. Most of the replacement switches are bulky and existing switch housings shallow so changing involves lots of electrical work. Okay for the electricians but expensive for householders. (Yes I know there are adapters for light sockets but they are bulky and don't look right!) Smart socket adapters for the mains outlets are a good thing as portable appliances can be operated by voice so there are ups and downs. Good but not perfect
There is a good selection of skills but we use it mainly for music at which it excels. Alexa has trouble understanding sometimes, especially when there is background noise. Overall pleased we got it.
