One of the best films I have watched for a long time. If you like military films and are a fan of dogs this is a must. Kate mara is outstanding and very engaging,you feel her joy and sorrow. Very good action moments. Worth every penny,I'll watch it again..and again. Yet again history channel does another good story very well. Grab a copy put your feet up and enjoy. Five stars. Dvd was sealed and brand new.One of the best films I have watched for a long time. If you like military films and are a fan of dogs this is a must. I first watched this film on a flight from London to LA, in October 2017. Was so impressed by this story that I bought it as soon as it was released in the UK. Telling the true story of Meghan Leavy , a US Marine dog handler and her German Shepherd (military working dog) Rex. From Meghan being given Rex to train & work with, to combat deployments where a very close bond is built. Rex suffers from canine PTSD as a result of combat deployments & faces being put to sleep, as it is deemed he is not suitable to be rehomed.
