    Enlightening book about the current state of human development

    Great book by the late lamented Hans Rosling. Very easy to understand and good explanations of the statistics. Full of interesting data covering a wide range of topics, the book corrects a number of misapprehensions and has a basically optimistic view of the future - perhaps a bit too optimistic.

    Absolutely excellent book. Highly recommended. All people should be encouraged to read it. It helps you open your mind and understanding to what is going on in the world and the knock on effect to societies. Encourages the reader to question what we have been told and our preconceived ideas. This book should be studied in schools, colleges and universities.
