Item arrived fast but was found to have suffered slight cosmetic postal damage & something rattling inside, on reporting it was allowed to take cover off, the rattle was 2 little ferrite rings so no issue, a new cover was sent out, the unit works perfectly, was so impressed by the service given i bought a second one, if you ever need a dual rail supply -30 0 30+ volts 10Amp youll need 2 of these, the centre connector is ground only as these are only single rail output. Well happy..

Product looks solidly built. Caution! Make sure power switch at back of supply is set to 220v. Mine was set at 110v as default. Power lead supplied at a good length, as, do too the 2 supplied test leads. Pity it wasn't 3 (another is needed for GND). The display is very clear. Didn't get reading for load, but I didn't have a load connected. Manual comes supplied. First page, its English is confusing. Pages thereafter are better,still some unclear statements. Packaged well. Arrived on time.

A Good, Compact PSU
This unit appears to be well made, and certainly delivers the claimed output - without making some very worrying noises, like another model I returned for a refund! This one is actually smaller than my trusty 5 amp Maplin PSU, but that doesn't have a cooling fan. And the fan is temperature controlled, only running when needed, which is how it should be. My only minor criticisms are: 1) The voltage control - to allow accurate selection over a wide 0-30 volt range it employs a multi-turn potentiometer, which means a LOT of winding to get from one end of the scale to the other. 2) It would be nice if the front panel switch controlled the DC output, with a separate AC power switch on the back, like the Maplin PSU. Having said that, the "other" unit I mentioned had both coarse AND fine ... This unit appears to be well made, and certainly delivers the claimed output - without making some very worrying noises, like another model I returned for a refund! Tidy unit but probably not Safety or EMC Regulations compliant
No CE &/or RoHS Markings, and probably not likely to meet relevant Safety or EMC compliance requirements - as such it isn't legal to sell this unit in the UK or EU|! Whilst it looks a tidily-designed and built unit, a quick look inside showed that the Secondary wiring for the fan to be very close to Primary wiring from the power inlet to the main PWB (I therefore added extra insulating sleeving to that Secondary wiring!). I did'nt remove the main board to examine the "hidden" side, but I got the impression that there may not be adequate creepage and clearance distances separating the Primary and Secondary circuits (the Secondary circuits being, of course, accessible via the 0-30V output terminals!). Therefore I strongly recommend that anyone using one of these PSUs do make sure that it ... No CE &/or RoHS Markings, and probably not likely to meet relevant Safety or EMC compliance requirements - as such it isn't legal to sell this unit in the UK or EU|! PS: I was a Product Safety and EMC compliance Engineer and/or Manager in the electronics and defence industries for a large part of my career - and this unit would not have "passed muster" on my watch without quite a few modifications!

I'd say this is the best PSU can get - even at twice or three times the price.
The best possible price you're ever going to find for a 30V 10A adjustable power supply. The bargain price is meaningless unless the unit functions perfectly - and it does. Voltage output and current limits are accurate to the digital panel displays and although this unit does not have coarse and fine adjustments, the multi-turn potentiometers this unit does have do allow you to get a precise setting, e.g. you really can set any voltage to a 0.1V tolerance in keeping with the panel display easily enough. I don't find the multiple turns an issue if I'm setting a high voltage and as far as I am concerned this is a better adjustment method than on power supplies with coarse and fine controls. The other benefit is size. It's tiny for a 30V 10A power supply - you can have one or more of ... The best possible price you're ever going to find for a 30V 10A adjustable power supply. Features missing? Well, I don't consider missing coarse and fine controls to be a drawback for this unit, but other people may prefer them (it's just that the implementation on other PSUs isn't as good at offering precision setting as this PSU's multi-turn solution). The voltage display is to a resolution of 0.1v and some people may prefer 0.01V perhaps (i.e. a 4-digit voltage display - for current as well). It's lacking an output on/off switch so there's just a single power switch for the whole unit (again, some people may prefer knowing the PSU has stabilised output voltages before using an "output on" switch). Finally, the PSU has an internal thermostatically controlled fan. To get down to this physical size I assume the heat sink(s) inside are too small to deal with up to 300W of output as this unit is capable of. Even with a load of a few watts, the fan will kick in for several seconds then shut down and repeat this cycle periodically. The fan noise is definitely noticeable and perhaps some people would prefer no fan noise at all. Nevertheless, this PSU remains my absolute best buy - tiny, very inexpensive, well made, and fully capable of its rated output.

A very good product
This switch mode power supply was bought to run a permanent magnet motor on a small milling machine. The constant current capability allows excellent control under load, Voltage control is excellent. This is an ideal DC power power supply up to its full rating.
